First half
The first 45 minutes of the Liverpool vs Bournemouth match was an exciting affair, as both teams looked to get the upper hand early. Second half
The second half of the match between Liverpool and Bournemouth got underway, with both teams looking to make a decisive move in the contest. Liverpool was off to an early start, with Roberto Firmino’s attempt at goal forcing a save from Asmir Begovic in the Bournemouth goal.
Bournemouth responded well to the early pressure, and had a number of chances to equalize. The best chance fell to Joshua King, whose effort from inside the box went just wide of the post.

The second half saw a number of substitutions made by both teams, but it was Liverpool who made the breakthrough in the 70th minute. Sadio Mane was on hand to score his side’s second goal of the night, and give them a two-goal cushion.
The remainder of the game saw Liverpool maintain their lead, as they looked to add to their tally. They almost did just that in the 87th minute when Mohamed Salah’s shot from outside of the box went just over the bar.
In the end, Liverpool held on for a 2-0 victory over Bournemouth, and secured their place in the top four. They now have a six-point cushion over fifth-placed Arsenal, and will look to solidify their Champions League spot in the coming weeks.
